Cal Kestis once again failed to disappoint fans in his new sequel, "Jedi: Survivor," and it's a real shame that mostStar Warsfans may want to skip this experience.

A Star Wars video game may not appeal to all fans for good reason. Hard challenges aren't for everyone and some fans just want to follow the story rather than suffer because a boss refuses to die to your lightsaber. Being a Jedi in a video game is a treat for those who enjoy chasing raiders off cliffs and facing off against strange creatures in the galaxy.
Jedi: Survivor offers plenty of great adventures for you to experience as the massive sequel doesn't stop at providing a whole new story in a galaxy far, far away. Here are five reasons why Jedi Survivor succeeds.Star Warsfeel alive and fresh without copying what has already been done a thousand times.
5. Connections with Rogue One and Obi-Wan Kenobi

Early in the game, Cal Kestis ends up on the sand dunes of Jeddha, the planet first seen inRogue One: A Star Wars Story(2016),where Saw Gerra based his operations just before the first Death Star attack. The war-torn city may have been explored, but Jeddha remained an enigma to fans, and Respawn took this moment to explore a key connection to another project that fans may not have immediately noticed.
Cere Junda, Cal's former mentor, managed to help the Jedi survive in a special way. Creating a network that should protect them from danger. The Hidden Path is what Cere and Eno Cordova are committed to on Survivor, and it helps to understand why the group was so successful helping Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi on the Disney+ series.

If Cal didn't interfere with the Empire so much, they would have more resources to follow the Hidden Path, but Kestis continues to interfere with the Empire's plans, leaving the Empire at times unable to continue their search. This distraction helps other legendary Jedi like Quinlan Vos stay in hiding after Order 66, which only means more of the Jedi series could revolve around other characters.
4. Meet legendary beasts and characters

Star Warsit has many iconic creatures and characters, and "Survivor" does not disappoint in any episode. One thing to share is that it would be better to stop reading if you don't want to have some spoilers. Some of those moments should be big moments in the game and at the very least a reason for expansion.Star Warsstory, while others are pure fanservice.
As soon as you start the game, Koboh, a huge planet full of secrets, has a Rancor boss lurking near your start on the planet. At first this fight is quite a challenge for some, but to be able to say that you can fight someone like Luke Skywalker is pretty impressive.

The game also features Mago, who is basically a forest version of the Wampa that players face off against. This fun addition sees Cal take on another beast that Luke was able to defeat, and it's no joke. The creatures are very aggressive and on higher difficulty it would be difficult to take on the creatures in freezing conditions.
As mentioned above, some parts of the game brought back iconic characters, and this is one last reminder before we get into big spoilers for the sequel. Cal Kestis manages to interact with Darth Vader and Boba Fett in the game. Vader makes the next exciting cameo of him at the end of the story, just as he did in Jedi: Fallen Order, while Boba Fett (voiceTemuera Morrison) appears in a fun sidequest dedicated to bounty hunters, which makes his appearance seem well deserved and surprising.
3. Loyal Love for the Prequel Trilogy

Respawn doesn't let you join the clones and take on the Separatist Alliance just yet, its sequel brings a horde of CIS droids to take down. Almost every different type of soldier ends up in the game with B1 marching with blasters in large groups, B2 armed with wrist rockets, Droideks ready to attack with energy shields and heavy firepower, and agile commando droids armed with vibroblades attacking Cal Kestis as he tries to deal with it with a new gang in Koboh that works for the main antagonist.
These moments make the era special because they define Cal Kestis to a great extent and also drive the narrative forward without just fan service.
2. A perfect mix of all eras

"Jedi: Survivor" does everything possible to tell a story worthy of including so muchStar Warssurrender. Most of the time, aStar WarsThe project could herald one of the two major moments of the second era without further investigation. Survivor makes sure that fans get what they want and get a cohesive story aimed at all fans who don't allow for safe story decisions.
Visoka Republicmakes his franchise debut for most fans who don't read the comics or the books.AcolyteThat'll be when that era gets more attention, and for now, it paves the way for High Republic to be intriguing without feeling over-the-top or unoriginal. It is a different time for the Jedi and allows for radical decisions to be made moving forward.

This mix of different eras made the game a more complete story and less rigid because any character could come on screen or give Cal a challenge that made sense without it being just the Empire all the time. Combining three eras into one could end in disaster, but Respawn masterfully weaves all the elements together into one big one.Star Warsaventura.
