United might not be done yet...

Midfielder Will Fish is about to be loaned for a season to Hibernian, theManchester evening newshe understands

A deal has yet to be announced, but the deadline for clubs in Scotland is midnight, as it is in most of Europe.

Fish spent six months on loan at then-League side Stockport County last season but was dropped due to playing time problems.

The 19-year-old signed a new long-term contract with United earlier this summer, a deal that sees him stay at Old Trafford until at least 2025, with an option for a one-year extension.

He was called up to Erik ten Hag's pre-season squad this summer when Axel Tuanzebe had to go home and was sent off in a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.

TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSED

And that marks the end of England's 2022 summer transfer window.

Erik ten Hag signed six players during his debut window as Manchester United manager.

Tyrell Malacia was first through the gate, with free agent Christian Eriksen following shortly after. Lisandro Martínez made three with his £47m arrival before Casemiro agreed to fill the gap in defensive midfield with his £60+ transfer from Real Madrid.

And today, Antony was officially revealed as the club's second most expensive signing in a deal that could reach £85m before Martin Dubravka's loan deal, which contains a buyout clause, from Newcastle is completed.

Dean Henderson, Eric Bailly and Alex Telles are notable names that were borrowed after the departures of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and company. at the end of their contracts in June.

Others also left permanently: Andreas Perreira to Fulham (in an £8m deal), James Garner to Everton (£15m) and Tahith Chong to Birmingham (£1.5m).

Why won't Ronaldo join Napoli on this deadline day?

United striker Cristiano Ronaldo is embroiled in a roller coaster transfer window.

At the beginning of pre-season he announced his intention to leave the club. However, as there have been no offers for the 37-year-old, Ronaldo is likely to remain at Old Trafford until at least January.

What does United think of Dubravka

United sources described Dubravka as a "first class goalkeeper". It's doubtful that Newcastle would happily replace him and get rid of him.

Dubravka has been a good goalkeeper for Newcastle, but he is prone to slipping into tackles and has thrived under two coaches, Rafael Benítez and Steve Bruce, whose styles invited the opposition's attempts.

Once Newcastle appointed a progressive manager in Eddie Howe, Dubravka were on loan. Newcastle were interested in loaning Dean Henderson in January and the move only fell through as Dubravka ironically didn't want to warm up United's bench.

Seven months later, he's happy to do so. Any suggestion that he is a long-term replacement for De Gea is laughable and United have likely signed a high profile goalkeeper when Tom Heaton, number two so far this season, is arguably a more reliable goalkeeper than Dubravka.

One of United's related exit deals involves Tahith Chong. With a year to go before the deal, a sale today would make sense and Birmingham are looking to close a deal, but the clock is ticking.

Speaking to the media earlier, Blues boss John Eustace said: "I know we've been talking to the lad until further notice he's still a Manchester United player. He was great for Birmingham last season (on loan) and if he can continue last year's form, that would be a big plus for us.
